Hey there!

I'm Riley, the Midwestern Nomad.

I'm always exploring, and I've found that running is the easiest way for me to stay in shape on the road. After all, running shoes don't take up that much suitcase space. One the things that gets me inspired to hit the pavement is the thought of putting together a running outfit. It may be an odd way to get motivated, but I love sharing my daily workout outfits (#WOOTD) with my readers on here.

And why, exactly, do I consider myself the Midwestern Nomad?

Well, I was born and spent the first twelve years of my life in Indianapolis, Indiana. My middle school years were spent in Savannah, Georgia, and Bradenton, Florida, before my family returned to Indianapolis for the rest of my childhood. It was quickly after returning to Indiana that I found my love for traveling.

At fourteen, I made my first trip to Europe with school (and my grandma, who chaperoned). After enjoying some amazing cities and sights, I was hooked. My family went on a few cruises in the Caribbean and I returned to Europe for part of a class my sophomore year of college. I studied abroad in Paris.

After graduating college and completing a year in grad school, I moved to Colorado Springs for an internship with the US Olympic Committee. After that ended, I started working full time in marketing and public relations, which so far has taken me to London for the 2012 Olympic Summer Games, Sochi, Russia, for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, all around the USA and hopefully plenty of more places to come!
